Today I want to talk about a topic somewhat conflicting within the body of Christ. Many see and study about the great men who changed the history of nations in the Bible and the operating power of God through their lives.
Many of us wonder if this was real or just put him to live in awe of the things that others were able to achieve the "mystical".
The reality is that the biblical stories and teachings are all full of God's power. Seas divided into two, impenetrable walls demolished, miracles, healings, etc.. Some of the thousands of signs and wonders that were made in the name of our Lord.
Why today is not usual for men of God in these times do great things? Simple: We stop believing. We believe in God, but we do not believe what God can do with us.
Hebrews 12:12-29 gives us an important lesson about the principle of the power of God for our lives.
Verse 12-13: We are commanded to get up and move on.
Verse 14-17: We discussed the importance of holiness in our lives to know God intimately.
Verse 18-21: We don´t came of Mount Sinai, where Moses makes covenant with God. This is the symbol of a living religion, a life marked by tradition. Clearly these passages that speak to when we began to know Christ, we do not get into an organized religion, nor are we part of a series of mystical dogmas.
Verse 22:24: This series of verses are key. It speaks (strangely in the past tense) that we already came to Mount Zion, the city where the living God himself, the Palace of the King of kings, Jesus Christ the same. From the moment you accept Christ into your hearts, He has given us the power to get into His Kingdom. Did you know that is the first thing that Jesus spoke when he began his ministry? "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." It boils down to the Kingdom of God Mount Zion is the supernatural where God wants to spend time with us. The place of praise and worship, intercession, lives changed, miracles signs and wonders.
Verse 25-26: Discusses the importance of these words and not disposing of our hearts, because the same God is supernatural God can transform everything around us.
Verse 27:29: We are encouraged to begin to live under the principles of an Eternal Kingdom here on Earth, serving it with our lives in fear and reverence, because God is a consuming fire, able to transform and take away our sins and wickedness fill us to live in new levels of holiness, revelation and spiritual authority and material.
This is the most tremendous start to live a successful life, a life full of God's power, a life that will help change the history of our generation. Do you encourage start living under the power of God? Only this will determine the fate of our generation, the fate of our children and grandchildren, if it comes before the Lord.
You must live the Word of God, walk by faith, prayer, praise and worship God and served in his work, and you will see the great miracles that God will work through you.
